# Ash Template > A product where people sign in with a wallet, keep a small account and read plain documentation. ## When to use Ash Template - Read the public documentation without an account. - Read or update the profile of the person whose sign-in credentials you hold. ## Start here 1. Read the [developer documentation](https://template.regents.sh/docs). It works without an account and has read-only HTTP examples. 2. Fetch the [OpenAPI JSON specification](https://template.regents.sh/openapi.json) for the health check and the profile API. 3. Request `Accept: text/markdown` at the [homepage](https://template.regents.sh/), [docs](https://template.regents.sh/docs), [About](https://template.regents.sh/about), [Contact](https://template.regents.sh/contact), [Privacy](https://template.regents.sh/privacy) or [Terms](https://template.regents.sh/terms). HTML remains the default. Use the [sitemap](https://template.regents.sh/sitemap.xml) for the public document directory. ## Available interfaces - `GET /healthz`: public plain-text health response, `ok`. No API key or wallet required. - `GET /api/v1/profile`, `PATCH /api/v1/profile`, `POST /api/v1/profile/sync`: the signed-in person's own profile. Every request carries both a Privy access bearer token and a `Privy-Id-Token` header. Missing or invalid credentials return 401; a profile that has not been created yet returns 404 until `POST /api/v1/profile/sync` creates it. - [YAML contract](https://template.regents.sh/api-contract.openapiv3.yaml): the full served contract, including the browser session endpoints the site itself uses. - Errors are JSON `{"error": {"code", "message", "hint"}}`. Every `/healthz` and `/api/v1` answer carries `RateLimit-Policy` and `RateLimit` headers; past the limit the answer is 429 with `Retry-After`. See [errors, rate limits and the versioning and deprecation policy](https://template.regents.sh/docs): a breaking change ships the day it is listed there, with a new major `info.version`. - [API catalog](https://template.regents.sh/.well-known/api-catalog) and [security.txt](https://template.regents.sh/.well-known/security.txt). ## Browser tools Every page offers a browser's own agent these tools through WebMCP (`document.modelContext`). Each reads one of the public documents above as Markdown, needs no sign-in and changes nothing. The [tool manifest](https://template.regents.sh/capabilities) describes them as JSON. | Tool | Reads | Needs | What it does | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `about` | `GET /about` | Nothing | Read the About page as Markdown: what Ash Template is, what a person can do here and who runs it. Reads only; needs no sign-in; changes nothing. | | `docs` | `GET /docs` | Nothing | Read the developer documentation as Markdown: the public reads, the profile API, errors, rate limits and the versioning policy. Use it before calling the HTTP API. Reads only; needs no sign-in; changes nothing. | Ash Template does not offer a hosted MCP endpoint. ## Build skills and working examples This site is also the public demo of the Ash Template starter kit, the one Regent's sites are built from. - [Agent guide to the build skills](https://template.regents.sh/skill.md): how to fetch them and check each download. - [Build skills index](https://template.regents.sh/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) in the Agent Skills Discovery v0.2.0 format, and [the same skills for people](https://template.regents.sh/skills). - [Showcase](https://template.regents.sh/showcase): every shared component, in light and dark. Its [catalog](https://template.regents.sh/showcase/catalog) lists them as JSON. - [Sign in with Privy](https://template.regents.sh/showcase/privy): wallet sign-in, working. - [Wallet buttons](https://template.regents.sh/showcase/wallet) on Base Sepolia, a test network. Only a signed-in person can press them, from their own wallet, and each press needs a little Base Sepolia test ETH for the network fee. - [Motion lab](https://template.regents.sh/animations): every motion the kit uses. ## Operator, help and boundaries [About](https://template.regents.sh/about) · [Contact](https://template.regents.sh/contact) · [Privacy](https://template.regents.sh/privacy) · [Terms](https://template.regents.sh/terms).
